Last night I gathered with a group of friends I don't see often enough. We shared good food and had a great time laughing and talking. This time of year it is hard to find time to get together but well worth the effort.
My friend Lisa made cake balls for each person to take home.
Her lovely gift reminded me that food gifts any time can be fun and inexpensive to make. She purchased the bags and toppers but you can easily make them out of cardstock and a ziplock bag.
When giving a gift of food the presentation can make all the difference.
Her cake balls taste wonderful displayed on a platter covered with foil. But when packaged in these cute bags it brings an extra wide smile to your face.
So head to your kitchen and whip up a batch of your favorite holiday treats. And when sharing them with family and friends consider a new presentation whether it is a bag and topper or placing them in a chalkboard tin.
